Crowns In One Visit
When tooth decay or fracture has destroyed a tooth’s ability to withstand normal functional forces, we are able to restore it to its original form (or better) using a dental crown, or cap. A crown replaces the outer layer of a tooth with strong porcelain, gold, or a combination of materials depending on your specific needs. Our cerec crown dentist are specifically designed to withstand the tremendous pressure generated by your chewing muscles. Our highly skilled ceramists are able to create life-like crowns and bridges making it difficult to tell which tooth was treated. Same-day dental crowns have another benefit of treating and restoring teeth in one day.
The Teeth crown Process
The process is fairly simple. The dentist will first make a mold of your tooth. Once completed, it will be sent away to a laboratory where the permanent crown is designed to match the original contours of the tooth. With a system called CEREC, we take very precise measurements of your tooth and enter these measurements into CEREC. A porcelain “blank” is then milled to match the contours of your tooth without having to send a mold or measurements to an offsite lab. When the restoration is finished, Dr. Haddad can place it immediately, make any necessary alterations, bond the restoration and send you on your way with a new, perfectly contoured crowns on teeth.
